Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to introduce myself as the new Executive Headteacher for Southfield from after the Easter break. I am really looking forward to joining the Southfield team and working with the exceptional young people who attend the academy.  My experience to date includes over 20 years working in Special Schools and over 10 of these years has been in Senior Leadership.

One of the first tasks I have undertaken in this role has been the recruitment of a new Headteacher and I am delighted to inform you that Charlotte Millea has been appointed as Headteacher for Southfield and will begin the role on 22nd April 2025.  Charlotte is an extremely experienced and successful Senior Leader who will be an asset to Co-op Academy Southfield.

I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Viki Clough and Ian Berryman who are leaving the academy and wish them well in their next steps. 

Charlotte will be in contact to introduce herself in the new term and as a Senior Leadership Team we intend to invite parents and carers into the academy to meet in person and introduce ourselves and learn about the young people and families of Southfield.

Charlotte will share more information after the holidays with dates and times for these opportunities.
