Dear parents and carers,

Viki Clough, Head of School and myself; Ian Berryman, Executive Headteacher wanted to write to you with an important update with respect to Co-op Academy Southfield. 

It is with great sadness that Viki has taken the decision to resign from her post as Head of School due to personal circumstances. Viki needs to reduce her working hours and level of responsibility. It has been a very difficult decision for Viki to make and she will be very sad to leave the amazing Southfield community after 12 wonderful years. Viki would like to thank you all for your continued support. Viki will be leaving at Easter 2025. Recruitment has already started for a new Head and Co-op Academies Trust will update you all as soon as someone has been appointed to the post. 

Executive Headteachers are occasionally redeployed across the Trust according to need. I will be moving to work with different Co-op academies in April 2025, so we are very happy to inform you that Emma Hardaker; current Headteacher of Co-op Academy Delius, has been appointed as Executive Headteacher and will oversee Co-op Academies Southfield and Delius from April 2025. Co-op Academies Southfield and Delius already work very close together and Emma’s role as Executive Headteacher, across the two schools, will only strengthen this co-operation, and ensure that all children and young people get an outstanding education, great opportunities and exemplary care.
