We're closing to most students
The Government is asking parents to keep children at home whenever possible – schools remain open only for children who need to attend.

How we communicate with parents and carers

Our main way of communicating with parents and carers is through the form tutor directly for day-to-day things which impact on each student. For some students, a home-school diary system is implemented, whereas, for others, it may be emails or texts or telephone calls with the tutor.

We also send letters home, again, usually via the tutor, unless the parent asks that it is sent by another means. In the coming year, we are looking at how we best communicate whole school matters and are consulting with parents/carers.

We ask that parents/carers let us know their preferred means of communication and keep their contact details up-to-date. Updated details can be provided directly to the campus Reception staff, or via the form tutor.

For urgent communications, we use PS Connect to send texts to all parents. In adverse weather conditions, we communicate via text and via local radio announcements.

Parents/carers are also invited to the Annual Review meeting for their student’s Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP). We ask that every effort is made to attend these.
