Last Monday, some our students got the chance to come face to face with some unusual visitors! We had Stassia from Zoolab bring in some of her pets to share with us. These included Pumpkin the Snake and Zippy the Giant Hissing Cockroach, along with a giant snail, a tree frog, a tarantula and 3 rats. The students learnt the signs for these animals and as well as seeing and finding out more about them, they got the chance to handle them. The majority of pupils were very brave and were fascinated by having a snail or cockroach on their hand! (Some of the staff were a little less confident!!) The students asked some amazing questions and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience.
