Our current Ofsted grading: Good
Our most recent inspection: December 2018
Schools and academies are regularly inspected by Ofsted. On this page you will find a short guide to school inspections and a summary of our latest report. You can also read our full inspection report at https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk.
Information about inspections
Ofsted make judgements on four areas:
- the effectiveness of leadership and management
- the quality of teaching, learning and assessment
- personal development, behaviour and welfare
- outcomes for pupils
Schools are given an overall grade from 1 to 4:
- grade 1 – outstanding
- grade 2 – good
- grade 3 – requires improvement
- grade 4 – inadequate
The grade a school receives determines how frequently the inspectors visit. Good schools normally receive a short inspection every three years.
Ofsted have written a useful guide for parents and carers. You can find the latest version at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-inspections-a-guide-for-parents
Sharing your views about the academy with Ofsted
During an inspection, Ofsted will look at responses to their Parent View online survey at www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk.
You can complete this survey at any time during the school year, although during inspections there is an additional comments box you can complete.
What does the academy’s latest report say?
Ofsted completed a short inspection on 4 December 2018. We were rated as a Good school.
Your vision that pupils should learn to be confident, resilient and independent learners is matched by inspectors’ observations. Pupils have positive attitudes to school, they are proud of their achievements, and were confident to speak to inspectors about their work.
